Natural Order - S/T 7"

So Deal With It broke up, Mike moved to Wales, started this new band, also joined another established UKHC band who I won't mention because I think they've outstayed their welcome.  Mike would always say at DWI shows that he basically got into Hardcore via Nu-Metal as a teenager so it makes sense that he'd start a new band paying tribute to the bands around in the 90's who fell into the grey area between Nu-Metal and Hardcore.  Buy it.

Endless Grinning Skulls - Fear, Ignorance, Control 7"

Raging Hardcore from Nottingham like Poison Idea run into G.I.S.M. featuring members of Heresy, Army Of Flying Robots and Geriatric Unit.  Available from Viral Age Records.

I have a massive amount of respect for the guys who played in Heresy and Ripcord in the 80's and rather than follow the current trend of grabbing hold of a couple of random session musicians and doing half arsed reunion tours asking for far too much money, they've actually started new bands like EGS, Geriatric Unit & Violent Arrest and put in the effort to make them sound actually good.

Castrato Attack Group/Etai Keshiki - split tape

Two Noise Rock bands from Leeds, was available on Norman Records but after checking before posting this I just found out it's sold out, maybe they'll repress it, maybe they won't.

Also I'd like to apologise to Daria from Etai Keshiki for thinking you were a very Metrosexual looking man.

Battle Of Wolf 359 - The Death Of Affect LP

Screamo from Kent/London with members of Lich and MeAndGoliath finally calling it a day playing their final four shows starting this weekend:

Sat 23rd June - The Bar Below, Folkestone Kent with Skylark, Citizens +more
Sun 24th June - The Windmill, Brixton with Human Junk, Jackals, Apollo Greed +more (benefit for the ABC)
Thur 28th June - The Baracke, Munster with Resurrectionists, Loma Prieta, Tempest, Panzram and Autarkeia
Sat June 30th - Cry Me A River Fest, Versmold with Panzram, Grinding Halt, June Paik, Graf Orlock and more

I always thought they sounded like Shai Hulud crossed with Circle Takes The Square with added shouting about politics, this album was the best thing they did.

Sunn O))) - Rehearsal Demo Nov 11 2011 LP

My, this blog has taken a turn for the Stoner recently hasn't it?  Don 't worry, we'll get back to Hardcore soon enough.  This is a limited LP to 1500 being sold on their current tour, maybe they'll be some left over to be sold from the Southern Lord webstore at the end, maybe not.

Boris - Call Me 04234 63376 12"

If you've been living under a rock for the last fifteen years, Boris are a Stoner Rock/Drone/occasionally Hardcore band from Tokyo who looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove the Melvins.  This EP was done sometime in the mid nineties when apparently they used to be a four piece, Atsuo, their drummer was originally the singer before Takeshi came in and took over on bass/lead vocals.  This record is a massive nod towards Melvins' Eggnog EP.

Sectarian Violence - Conflict Of Interest demo tape

The Multinational Straight Edge supergroup got back together earlier this month for a European tour and brought 100 of these tapes with them, unfortunately I missed the UK dates as I was in Holland for Roadburn, thankfully Carry The Weight held 50 copies to sell in their webstore.

Cease To Exist - Heptaparaparshinokh 7"

More Blackened Hardcore split release on Feast of Tentacles and Hemlock Thirteen, already building a reputation for themselves due to singer Aaron's wacky onstage antics, which include, but are not limited to:

* Getting thrown out of a venue in Brixton before the end of their set

* Being banned from The Grosvenor in Stockwell due to Bass throwing shenanigans when he was in Unloved

* Calling girls "cunt" to their face in Ashford

Download from their bandcamp.

Deathskulls/Wives Of Seth - "The Plague Years" split 7"

It might surprise you to know that Deathskulls are from Essex (they don't like to bring it up much).  Wives Of Seth were an experimental Hardcore band featuring Bloody Kev of Hard To Swallow/Raging Speedhorn/Regimes/countless other bands fame, for more WoS you can get their demo from Kev's blog.

The Assassinators - I Disse Mørke Tider 7"

OK, from now on the main focus of this blog will still be UK bands but occasionally I'll put up bands from other countries if I can't find rips of them anywhere else.  The Assassinators are a female fronted melodic Anarcho Punk band from Denmark, who sing only in Danish.  I can't understand what they're saying, as far as I'm concerned the lady is just making pretty sounds.

Friday, 6 January 2012

STAB - Stab Nation Rising 7"

Luke has left due to reasons of living a two hour train journey away from the rest of the band, they've got a new bass player called Ben.  You like?  YOU BUY!

EDIT: better rip from their bandcamp
