90's London Straight Edge Post-Hardcore band formed with members of early UK Straight Edge Hardcore band Long Cold Stare. Members would go on to break Edge and form bands such as Orange Goblin, The Dukes Of Nothing, Capricorns, Alabaster Suns & 33. Bass player Tony Sylvester later became the singer in Turbonegro when Hank Von Hell left the band.
fast music and shit talking. please be aware that i will re-up requested posts on the original and not on a new post, asking me to do loads at once is overwhelming and will take me longer. I no longer own a laptop with a CD drive.

Consumer Electronics - The Weight/Hostility Blues 7"
London based Noise group started in 1982 by members of Whitehouse and Ramleh. Today the only original member is Philip Best, with new additions, Russell Haswell who has been part of several other Noise projects and American artist Sarah Froelich, if her Discogs page is accurate this is the only music thing she has been part of. The is a new single that is meant to tease a forthcoming album.
As a bonus I noticed that there isn't a Bandcamp where you can purchase their previous LP Dollhouse Songs so I made a rip of it.

Mister Lizard pre-7" material
Weird mix of Powerviolence and Noise Rock, based in London but most of the members come from different places, I know the drummer is from Gravesend in my home county of Kent and also plays in Noise Rock/Post-Hardcore band Screen Wives. When I made an attempt at a UK scene report post a couple months back I noticed that their bandcamp had gone down and you could only pay to order/download a digital copy of their new 7", here's three things that you used to be able to get for pay what you want from their bandcamp that they took down for some reason, I'm not going to bother puting them up in separate links as it's not a massively huge zip file.

Art Of Burning Water/Famine - split 7" and some loose thoughts on the current UK scene
This was penciled in to come out last year (if you remember the last time I wrote about this band), but instead they released an LP, a split tape with Containment from London, a split 7" with Nothing Clean from Leicester (a band a highly recommend if you miss Gets Worse and want to hear a UK band do Powerviolence the way it should fucking sound) and a remix tape, all in the past year, I've compared them to Melvins, not just they are the most obvious influence but because they also try to emulate their insane release schedule.
Unfortunately they've been forced to cancel all of their shows this Summer due to vocalist/guitarist Grief getting injured before they were supposed to play Supersonic festival in Birmingham. I was disappointed to hear about that as they don't seem (or at least rarely) play outside of London and playing a festival like that is the kind of recognition they really deserve, of any genre I think of them as one of the best live UK bands active right now. I encourage everyone to buy their records, not to offset any medical costs (thankfully this is still a country where healthcare is considered a human right) but because they're a solid band who deserve all the support they get.
Famine are a three piece Grindcore band from Leeds who sprang from the family tree of bands coming from The Afternoon Gentlemen. While I'm thinking about current bands from Leeds, I also want to recommend Lugubrious Children, three piece Powerviolence band who've just done a tour of USA (more and more of our DIY bands seem to be doing that, Endless Swarm, Powerviolence from Edinburgh, Dawn Ray'd Blackened Crust from Liverpool from the ashes of We Came Out Like Tigers, at the time of writing Mister Lizard, arty Powerviolence from London have just finished roaming the States...what was I talking about, oh yeah, bands from Leeds) and Hex, gender balanced Thrash/PV.

Nervous Mothers/Art Of Burning Water - split 7"
NM: Raging Powerviolence from Antwerp, Belgium.
AOBW: Rearranging what I said about them a few posts ago, they sound like Melvins gone Crust, they also have a third split coming out this year with Famine, a great Powerviolence band from Leeds.
I got this at the record release show two weeks ago but you can get it from SuperFi Records, buy it, fuckos.
I went to the trouble of making a rip of this and then they gone done and put it up on Bandcamp for "pay what you want"

Hard Skin/Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät - split 7"
Hard Skin is everybodies favourite ironic Skinhead band, except if you're a far right comedy Oi band.
Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät are a Punk band from Helsinki made up of disabled people. They are a subject of a documentary and have recently been selected to represent Finland in The Eurovision Song Contest. I must confess when I first heard about this band I thought it was just a gimmick, but after seeing them on tour with Hard Skin (which is where I picked up this 7"), I'd encourage anyone to go see them. While I'm still not really a fan of their music, I'm glad they exist.
Both bands cover each others songs in their own languages, Miks Ei Kukaan Ymmärrä turns into Why Won't Anyone Understand? and We Are The Wankers becomes Me Ollaan Runkkareita.

Dead Inside - No.4 10"
I found this for £1 at the Notting Hill Music Exchange last weekend. Dead Inside were around in the early 2000's and one of the many, many, many bands of "Bloody" Kev Greenham. I was aware of them when they were around but it was at the time when I was just getting into heavy music but not cool enough to know about underground bands yet, in fact my only introduction to them was Kev doing guest vocals on one song on Raging Speedhorn's first album, another band Kev would later join when Frank left co-vocalist position due to commitments of becoming a father. Considering most of the other bands Kev has been in I expected this to be Crust but the guitar work and the introspective nature of the lyrics remind me more of mid 80's DC Hardcore like Swiz.

Cease To Exist - Heptaparaparshinokh 7"
More Blackened Hardcore split release on Feast of Tentacles and Hemlock Thirteen, already building a reputation for themselves due to singer Aaron's wacky onstage antics, which include, but are not limited to:
* Getting thrown out of a venue in Brixton before the end of their set
* Being banned from The Grosvenor in Stockwell due to Bass throwing shenanigans when he was in Unloved
* Calling girls "cunt" to their face in Ashford
